Beekeeping offers a fascinating window into the natural world, revealing the intricate relationships between pollinators, plants, food systems, and healthy ecosystems. Whether you are a curious beginner, an educator, a gardener, or an aspiring beekeeper, we welcome opportunities to share the wonder of the honey bee.
Ryan Anderson has been teaching and educating children and adults for the past 25 years on Maui. He is available for educational presentations, foundationless beekeeping workshops, hive inspections, apiary tours, and classroom visits. Programs can be tailored for schools, community groups, homesteaders, gardeners, and individuals interested in learning more about honey bees and sustainable beekeeping practices.
Interested in gaining hands-on experience? We occasionally welcome volunteers who would like to learn about beekeeping while helping with hive management and seasonal apiary work. Volunteering can be a wonderful way to become acquainted with the rhythms of the hive and the life of the beekeeper.
